Why Denuvo?
Why are you still using Denuvo? The game was cracked ages ago.

I guarantee your computer sucks compared to mine. I have an RTX 2080 TI and an i9-9900K, both liquid cooled, with 64GB of ram. Denuvo is proven to take a performance hit on games regardless of your hardware. The only point of this type of DRM is to keep someone from cracking the game. Its already been cracked. Which means someone who cracks it gets better performance than someone who paid, which sucks. PC Gaming culture is so stupid sometimes. Do you just feel good about yourself telling OP his computer sucks? I'm sure his rig is fine. I'm sure he just wants the best performance he can possibly get, and why shouldn't he? Games are expensive, and so are computers. Its nice to get all the performance we possibly can for a hobby that costs so much.

Probably because Randy and Gearbox still don't care about their players. They didn't care when took Epics exclusivity deal, why should they care now?

Because they only care about money not players...

Actually no, there has been nothing on the high seas front at all since the first crack, which only included the first 3 hotfixes or something like that. So the takedown, the first dlc and all those nice QOL patches are only on the retail game.

That alone is why they're keeping denuvo in : retail is simply a better game and I imagine they'd like to keep it that way.

I feel like the high seas are planning to wait til all the planned DLC is released before cracking it again.
I agree, that's likely the case but who knows how long that will be. I was only saying that, for right now, it's not surprising 2k is keeping denuvo in. Doesn't mean I like the stupid thing, but it is what it is.

i laughed so hard when I read this. It reminds me of that Navy Seal copypasta.

No one actually gives a ♥♥♥♥ about your PC except you. Go piss somewhere else.

Has Denuvo effected your gameplay experience? I'm just an average PC gamer. I don't do anything to crazy with my build or attempt to mess around too much. I install games and play them and that's it. I've yet to experience anything with this software that makes me dread another title using it.

And that's inconclusive if that's software or developer implementation. There's many examples where Denuvo had no effect at all.

I always love these "why Denuvo" threads. Such a sure way to get a laugh.
You are guaranteed to find multiple examples of made up statistics, "confirmation" from "dozens of thousands of people" and someone coming out of their basement to brag about how they play games on an experimental NASA mainframe and Denuvo still has "performance impact."

Gotta love all the kids arguing in favour of using this trash DRM and thinking I suggested removing it due to performance. It's not that at all. What happens when denuvo goes bankrupt or out of business? You essentially have a library full of games you can't play and don't tell me it can't happen cause look at GFWL games alot of them are unplayable due to that crap.

I just support the right for creators to protect their work. Want DRM gone? Make people stop pirating games on PC.

Sales have nothing to do with piracy there are studies that show this. A pirate is gonna wait regardless of the form of DRM you only have to look at sites like crackwatch.

Pretty sure they do. Hence why DRM was made. If that was the case DRM wouldn't exist.

Any study can be shown as facts even if it's incorrect. The one with the true numbers are those who create the product and not those who spend 2 hours researching sales and claiming to know better than those with actual numbers.
