Report a translation problem
The flashing tiles have absolutely nothing to do with timing. It's all about what type of that feature comes before the flashing tile. So, for example, if a tile flashes eyes in the order: dots, sleepy, sunglasses, glasses, one-eye; then placing this tile in front of a glasses guy will result in one-eye no matter when you put it down.
Though I could have sworn that I saw one puzzle where it wasn't possible to make it work... I wonder if it was a glitch or if I was just using the wrong parts. It had a flashing nose but no matter how I placed it it would only work for one of the two pairs. I wish I had taken a screenshot!
