Game Crashes on Boot.

I have tried just about everything to solve this problem but to no avail.
Run As Administrator, Updated GPU Drivers, No Fullscreen, Tried to understand the crash logs. Not even Event Viewer can directly tell me what went wrong, Just tells me it crashed.

Help would be appreciated :)

Sorry to hear you are having trouble. After the issue occurs again, can you provide us with your game's log file (via pastebin.com or dropbox or something similar)?

The game log file should be located here:

It looks like it could be VR related, but don't have much more to go on than that. Do you have one or more VR devices hooked up to your PC? Any changes you could make there to see if it makes any difference (unplug devices, update VR related drivers, change openXR runtime, etc)?

i have no vr devices connected, i do not use vr for simpleplanes and i ran the game i still have the issue.

Ok, I understand you have no VR devices connected nor do you wish to use VR with SP, but it still looks like VR software on your PC may be interfering with the game's startup process.

We use VR APIs to allow owners of SP VR to use their VR headsets with the game. Normally, these do not interfere at all with SP players without VR devices. I could be wrong, but it looks like in this case some VR related initialization may be causing the crash.

Have you ever used VR devices with your PC? If so...
* What devices?
* Have you made sure all VR software and/or drivers are up to date?
* Have you tried plugging in devices and/or starting up software prior to launching the game.
* Have you tried changing your OpenXR runtime in steam?

1, I have a vive cosmos as a vr headset, its currently disconnected from my computer
2, the firmware is up to date from the last time i used it, and sp not working was still a problem before i stopped using vr.
3, Not that i recall doing so, i just start the game and it crashes the moment i do.
4, i never touched it.

The game can only run on versions prior to v1.11

I just uploaded a custom build with a couple Unity plugins related to XR updated to the latest versions. Its worth a shot. If this doesn't help though, I suspect the problem may be with your Vive software.

Right click on the game in your steam library and go to properties. Select the 'Betas' page and in the Beta Participation dropdown, select "customer-support-1 - Customer Support 1". You may need to restart your Steam client for this option to show up. Once that downloads, give the game another try.

I'm experiencing the same problem, both in VR SP and the normal SP, they crash on launch without any error message

I managed to find the issue. It looks like the OpenXR Runtime was interfering with the game. Since I had Oculus set as the default OpenXR runtime, I had to keep it open for the game to work, even in the normal SimplePlanes version and not just the VR version
