same engine i believe
i dont get that stutter so no idea im using Nvidia card though
Open it with a text editor (like WordPad or NotePad) and add the following lines:
seta com_PreciseTic "0"
seta com_FixedTic "1"
For Doom 3 it's the same thing, except you'll have to manually create a text file called "autoexec.cfg" in your "base" folder. Add the same commands as above and the microstutter should be gone.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ thank you so much!! Tried everything for like 2 hours and nothing worked. Would have never figured it out!
How exactly do I add those lines in though? I already fixed to to play at 1920x1080, when i tried this I added in the lines at the bottom and it cause the game to slow down to half speed and some animations did not work. I'm re-downloading the game now and hoping for a reply :)
