How do you configure HOTAS joytstick?
I purchased a Thrustmaster for use with this game but the game doesnt seem to recognize it. It doesnt show up under the controllers sections nor does it recognize my joystick button presses when I try to configure it by hand.

Can someone help me figure out what I am doing wrong?

Thanks!

It should be recognized when you input your actions in the "Others" section in the key configuration menu.

Just tried it, and it is not recognized respectively I can't customize the controls

Hi! What HOTAS/Joystick do you have?
And are you playing in VR? If so, we'd recommend to set up the controls in non-VR mode first since there are currently some issues with assigning axis values in VR.

I've got the Thrustmaster TFlight Hotas 4 and I'm using VR. I've tried calibrating it in non-VR mode, but no inputs were detected

It might be that your config files got corrupted somehow - we have recently fixed some related issues that will be resolved in the next update. Here's how you recreate fresh config files:
Go to C:\Users\*yourname*\AppData\Local\RSG\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor and delete GameUserSettings.ini and Input.ini, then restart the game and try to set up your Hotas again.

Hope that helps!

Just tried it and it unfortunately still doesn't work. I can assign the non-analogue buttons, but the mapping doesn't recognize any analogue inputs.
I hope this will help you guys to find a fix since I'm sure a lot of users are eager to play the game with the Thrustmaster Hotas
Btw, Patch v1.2.234636 is installed

That's strange! Could you try re-calibrating the joystick? Also, what OS version are you playing on?

Are you playing with the PS4-compatible version of the T-Flight Hotas 4? We have that here and I will check it out tomorrow. Also, are you using any input emulation software such as Thrustmaster T.A.R.G.E.T?

Edit: I just checked with the T-Flight and can configure the axes just fine - are you sure that you're setting the "axis" values, so for example "Yaw axis" and not "yaw left/right"? Also, have a look at the deadzones, it might be that they are set to a too-high value.
Also make sure that you're starting the 64-bit version of the game. If you're on Steam and not sure, you can manually navigate to the game's installation folder in steamapps/common/EVERSPACE/RSG/Binaries/Win64 and start RSG-Win64-Shipping.exe to check whether that makes a difference.

I now was able to configure only one analogue input. And yes I was using the 64bit version.
Can I contact you guys directly and perhaps send you a video how I try to customize the controls? Perhaps that helps.
Thank you

Thank you! I've sent you a video link yesterday. Sorry if it's a bit shaky ;)

Yes, I've just had a look at your video - it seems like you're trying to map your thrust axis at the "Thrust forward" field, could you try the "Trust axis" one instead? (one line above) - the forward/backup, left/right etc. fields only take button input, if you want to assign an analog axis you should always enter it in the "axis" fields unless you're using buttons.
I admit the menu can be a bit confusing, we were discussing s.th. closer to Elite as well which might have been the better option.

It finally worked :) Thank you very much for your help!

Hello baci. I just bought the game and I am having trouble setting up the joystick controls for the t-flight hotas 4 that you mentioned you guys have. By any chance would you be able to post the profile (GameUserSettings.ini) for it. Sorry to hi-jack the post
