how to get ps4 controller to work?
read the thread and the dev surely know the issue, but ONLY the right stick not working when even the touch pad work really feeling off/bug rather that Xinput thing that i don't understand why left stick works but right stick won't.

anyway people in general forum aren't being helpful and would like a quick fix/link of whatever emulator that the dev is using as a temp fix please.

nevermind, submit to a refund.

tried a few emulator like DS4 and still i simply can't turn ships using right stick while the left sticks works perfectly, while most other gamepad supported game don't have a single issue.

may buy again when the game is not in early access quality and require less player side bug fix.

if the dev aren't fixing while saying emulator could fix it and play with no problem, listed them as required with links to download. Saying that unreal engine not support xinput bla bla bla don't help anything when others game just work.

Hi, we're using DS4Windows at work and don't have any problems. I can personally only speak for the non-vr version, though - haven't tried VR with this setup. So I'm wondering if this only happens for you in VR and works in normal game play? We're also currently busy migrating the game to Unreal Engine 4.16 and are working on customizable controls and adding joystick support - so with the joystick support which came with Unreal Engine 4.15 (we're still at 4.14) your issue might also have been fixed

the Right stick don't work on both VR or Non VR version.

either joystick or gamepad support would be nice, since i will mostly play this in VR. And its next to impossible to play with mouse and keyboard with it.

my DS4 is has recognized my ps4 controller and using a default profile, so I am using it as is and supposed to work from the faq but i could be wrong.

btw i have no idea how you can develop a VR game with no VR hardware to test....it's quite amazing actually since it's looks right for the most part. But also explain why there is a lack of reset position button/reset forward direction button that is usually there, and the intro movie is playing below ground level.

sorry i mistook you for deleting my post and left a negative review, deleted that now.

Thanks for removing the negative review. Hmm, strange that it's not working in the non-vr version for you, either... We of course have VR headsets at work and one of us is currently working full-time on VR - it's just that I personally am not involved in VR at all and never have tried it with a PS4 controller (only with x1 controller) - that's why I said I can't speak for PS4 controllers with VR - but I'm using a PS4 controller all the time at work for the non-vr version. We'll look into the whole thing when we're all back at the office - maybe we can figure out what the problem is.

thanks. let me know if you need any info that can help solve it.

AFAIK PS4 controllers are not xInput supported by default, and therefore we don't support them yet, but we'll add support for joysticks and non-xInput controllers with probably the upcoming patch, you should be able to use and freely configure it then! For now, you could try starting the game from big picture mode since there seems to be some kind of Steam emulation that works in some games, or use an external emulation software like x360ce to map the PS4 controls onto the XBox360 controller bindings.

Hey i buy the game back because the controller just work in other game so I kinda want to see why myself.

turns out my controller is fine, but the game option "use touchpad to move crossair" is enabled. Which automatically disabled the right stick and only can use touchpad to turn, which i bet 0% of people will play with that.

I suggest you simply disable that touchpad function, or add a warning of such. It's not very obvious that enabling touch pad will disable right stick.
