exactly this.
I guess the challenges are "challenging", maybe for 50, the reward should be bigger, or keep it as is, like a trophy, if you aim for them.
I can't remember what challenges I have right now, I think I just finished "destroye 20 missiles in one run" and another one, I think, "destroy 20 ships in sector 1".
Just got the 3rd challenge "destroy a drone by ramming" outlaw didn't work, was possibly destroyed by g&b, but I rammed an okkar drone at low-ish speeds in first person and that worked.
Come on guys, if you pay attention when you travel, it's pretty fast to broke 50 lights :)
e.g.
+2.5% damage vs Okkar
+2.5% damage vs G&B
+0.5% critical chance
+15 ship health
and so on, depending on what the challenge was.
That might feel more worthwhile than a credit buff at least if attempting the challenge ended a few runs :P
I wish those challanges would be random and repeatable.
I did every challange and now i got none left to do.
For some reason, reading that list has made me very nostalgic for Diablo 2
imo, it's not the difficulty of it, it's that it just feels completely pointless. i mean what do the lights have to do with anything.
the fuel tank challenge had at least some point to it - you fly far, you'll want / need fuel, fair enough. but this just feels like grind for grind.
anyway, all imo. i'm sure it'll evolve. having quite some fun with the game (not shooting fllodlights though) and i'm pretty impressed at the state it was delivered in. good stuff, keep it up.
The floodlight challenge was actually very easy since every jump gate has 6, gas or ore generators have 3, outlaw outposts have ~3, and G&B will not attack you even if you fly along an shoot out the floodlights on their bases, traders, or even freighters.
