This is the first time I've had problems getting OpenTrack to work with a TrackIR enabled game. Also using an EDtracker.
Freddy Aug 19, 2017 @ 6:43am
@Hara did you get it to work?
mmike Aug 21, 2017 @ 2:37am
well, it seems that devs have a little rushed with this tracker and hotas support. it's not working with ed tracker, and i have problems in detecting ANY hotas system i have tried (warthog, x52pro and mfg pedals)

As announced, the game currently supports official TrackIR. We haven't announced edTracker or FreeTrack support, but we'll see what we can do. The game uses official TrackIR DLLs in the Plugins/TrackIR/ThirdParty folder of the installation, if that helps.

No. I even went and tried replacing the DLLs in the EverSpace files. Thought for sure any game with TrackIR support automatically got picked up by OpenTrack/Freetrack. I'll keep playing with it though.

It's the first time I see a game with TrackIR support that doesn't get picked up by OpenTrack in TrackIR only mode. Very strange IMO. It should be completely transparent to the game - it shouldn't even know we're using the OpenTrack emulator. That's how it works for all other games.

I've been playing it in VR but I'm not a huge fan of VR in this game (yet). UI feels very clunky and it doesn't have that "wow" effect, although it does run rather smoothly.

I think there are some other ones - from what I see, we are using a newer version of the SDK that apparently uses a DLL with encrypted code that cannot be read from freetrack. There are some tools on the web to circumvent that, but I'm not sure if we're allowed to link them here, or whether they work with the TrackIR SDK version we're using.
