Unfortunately Everspace does not have mod support and no mods for the game exist or are in development as far as I know. Everspace is also no longer in development besides bug fixes and such. Maybe their next title will have multiplayer/coop or mod support, though.

thanks for letting me know fella, still very sad and i think something misxsed, maybe eversopace 2 with coop? this is about the only roguelike game i can think of where coop would work

so basic voice chat is required...maybe they invent something some day they could call it discussion or exchange or something like that, could be good. almost as if playing a roguelike in coop would require non randos.
but i agree if you dont wanna talk to the ppl youd be playing with stick with single player kinda does not ruin the idea for people who would like to try it but hey thats just me.

I don't blame the devs, I mean the idea was always to make a single-player game and multiplayer would require a lot more work to code. But because they did such an amazing job on the gameplay (seriously this is the best "simulation" of how flying a UFO should be) and there's not a single decent PvP/Co-op space dogfight title on the market, it's a crime that they didn't expand upon this.

Here's to hoping that if they ever make a sequel it includes some free-for-all and team deathmatch PvP maps, and a co-op mode with up to four players forming a squad (or a big ship with 4 people administering different modules, that'd pretty nice too).

Hey guys, my name is Erik. I'm the Community Ambassador for Rockfish Games. Thank you for this conversation!

I feel it's important to dive in here and address this request. As many of you know, we are an independent development team with a particular focus on single-player gaming. Everspace is the only title under Rockfish Games, though we're also the original team that created the Galaxy on Fire series (1 and 2 specifically) for mobile platforms.

Everspace is content-complete; we'll only be giving it little patches to squash bugs and optimize for best performance. But that's not why I'm responding to this thread.

Most of you know we are working on another title. During this process, we have looked onward from the feedback and suggestions of Everspace, which will largely impact our next title as well. Thank you for expressing your desires in all things, especially for a multiplayer experience. Your voices are very important in helping us realize our full potential, and we're taking everything we can into account for what's to come.

This is NEITHER a guarantee for multiplayer support in our future, NOR saying it won't happen. I'd be lying if I said we weren't interested in multiplayer! Still, it is very important to realize that multiplayer support (even in the form of mere co-op) takes a lot of careful planning, resources, countless hours of balance, and extensive time to develop. We'll have to make some hard calls - and even sacrifices - one way or the other; we only hope you will trust us making the right course of action for our next title, with the best interest for you in the end.

TL;DR - We hear you! We're satisfying our vision, first. And if there's room to add additional desires to the mix, we absolutely will. Not tacked on, either! We're either making fully realized features, or not at all. So thank you for your feedback, your support, and your desire to help us make the greatest experience possible.

mate, was not a complaint it feels feature complete and i am very happy with the game but this being steam u never know what someone a lot smarter than me might have been tinkering with ;)
either way well done on the game. I hope you knock it out of the park with the next one as well.
What someone said previously was kind of a genius idea multiplayer within the same spacecraft.....or mothership and fighter support dunno there is tons of potential and whatnot for another title.
I simply posted it since Ive seen people put some insane mods into games on this platform before thats all
cheers for the feedback tho

I purchased this game 2 times.
Once on GOG (PC for me.)
And another for my girlfriend. (Xbox one digital copy)
Love the work you guys are doing, the beating heart you guys put into this game is great!
The only real thing I wish you guys included was either a multiplayer via online or split-screen.
Please, keep making amazing games!
