Problems playing with dual Thrustmaster T16000M HOSAS setup
I have an X56 Rhino HOTAS, and it works well enough with Everspace, but since there aren't really times when you need to go top speed for long periods of time (like in, say, Elite Dangerous, or Microsoft Flight Simulator X), I think this game would control better with my dual T16000M HOSAS setup. However, I'm having two issues.

Firstly, the game is reading both sticks as the same device. It doesn't see two separate sticks, meaning binding a button or axis on one stick will make that button or axis on the other stick do the same thing. I could potentially use the X56 joystick in my right hand and the T16000M in my left hand, but using both T16000Ms feels a lot more thematically consistent. Plus, the T16000M is a better "action stick." The X56 is a lot bigger, and has a TON of buttons, which is great for a game like Elite, which is pretty slow paced. But it feels clunky here.

The second issue I'm having is that Everspace won't recognize input from either T16000M's hat switch. I need the hats for weapon and item switching...

Any fixes for this, official or unofficial, would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, you need to install Thrustmaster T.A.R.G.E.T and configure both joysticks so that they act as a single one. I believe there is a config file flying around here already.
As for the hat switches, if I remember correctly, there is an issue with our input plugin that allows certain hat switches only to be used as button input, not as axis input, so the input mappings have to be adjusted accordingly.
