Where do you actually spend Viridian Energy?
I've capped it out and have yet to find a single use for it.

Throng initially said he was opening his workshop, but he can't be interacted with and there are no workshops.

He can. Try to fly into the glowing icon above his ship, face him and then press f.

It's also used to build some high powered weapons like the Neutron Cannon.

Yeah, found it. Guess I always approached him from the front so it completely obscured the purchase.
