Working now with WMR !
Just tried it today (May 1, 2018) with my Samsung Odyssey WMR and it works flawlessy.

I use an xbox controller for this game, but on the first menu had to go to my keyboard and hold the Windows key and press Y for the game to recognize a non-VR input like the xbox controller. I find many SteamVR games have this issue so won't blame Everspace for that.

GTX 1070 on an i7. I find the most playable game option settings are the Medium preset, with screen percentage at 200%. I can set those much higher and still play, but that increases my dizzness/vertigo if I do.

Setting targetting to head tracking is a game changer. Took me from a zero to a hero.

So glad this works now, gives me a very different VR space experience than Elite Dangerous and Star Trek: Bridge Crew.

There are many types of gamers. Frugal ones, spoiled ones, and ones who have devoted a lot of energy, work, and money for the best experience possible.

I think it's pretty cool to see the game working with WMR for players who desire that option.

Or maybe he just doesn't buy starbucks, go out to eat, and doesn't own a nicer car. Everything he has almost anyone could save up for in less than a year just buy cutting down on unnessecary costs.

Actually I'm an older IT professional who's worked many decades at my career and I buy whatever the hell tech toys I feel like... because I've earned it, and don't waste my money on Starbucks and fancy cars, etc.

It's interesting that you asume everyone who games is a kid. I've been playing video games since they were invented.

Get off my lawn, kid

How did you ?
I just try it today, and I have a double eye not at the right place and a very low resolution...

This is a fairly new occurrence from the 5/10 update. I have a samsung and it's a real headache machine.

Yes, I have the same problem too. From what I can tell by closing one eye and then the other.... they've switched the right and left views to the wrong side.

Glad it works for some people! For those having problems and for new players, we don't support WMR at the moment (as written on our Steam page) but only Oculus and Vive - we haven't actually tested the game with WMR headsets yet. If you're having problems you should definitely try to play with the SteamVR option, however we aren't using an up-to-date version of Unreal Engine so the used VR plugins may or may not work with your WMR device.

Here's to hoping you guys can fix it. Everspace was perfect in WMR before the last patch
