Everspace and Mac OS Catalina actually works well
surprisingly, Steam application indicates the game cannot be launched under Catalina, as being a 32bit application...
I'ts actually wrong... and I can confirm the game works perfectly under latest Mac OS version.

Can this statement be removed from the Steam store and user game list ?

on my side Macbook Pro under 10.15.1

Never had this kind of issue with this game, since the beginning (I bought the game as it was published for mac). Did you try a complete reinstall of the game, cleanup of prefs files, ... etc ... ?

Well, it works on our Mac at the office, but we've also received a report of one person that it works on his iMac, but not on his MacBook. I think it will require a few Unreal Engine updates until it works reliably on all Macs.

i can say Mac seems to be losing against windows. I think Apple It's losing vision on making a computer/gaming and everyone needs system, or competing against windows or something like that.:steamsad:

I believe most people complaining that the game is "not running" are just not waiting for the first start up, that can take really long times depending on your system, and also requires that you give privacy permission on your keyboard in a popup that can be hidden by other windows. I would recommend give those permission (System Preferences --> Security and Privacy --> Privacy Tab --> Keyboard Monitoring) to the app before running for the first time, just open the local files to know where is stored.

Here's how I made it work:

1. Secondary click on the game entry, show Properties
2. In the dialog, click "Show Game Files"
3. Finder should appear. Locate the EVERSPACE app (all caps).
4. Double-click the app
5. macOS would prompt that the game would need additional permissions (for me it was "access files on external volume" since I put it on an external SSD).
6. Grant the permission.
7. Double click the EVERSPACE app again.
8. The game should show the intro screen.

Just a bump to say game seems to open and run fine on macOS 13 (Ventura) on an M1 Macbook Air. On tutorial mission, the framerate was 40-48fps at 1440x900 on Epic graphical settings.
