depends on what you mean by work. when I tried it, it technically "worked" but it was so badly implemented that I refunded the game

I tested out in VR and wow did it suck. Don't buy it just for VR.

I bought it just for VR and got refunded. It is not that it is not well optimized. I had a solid FPS in VR. It is just not created for VR and the controls make it totally unplayable.

I'm gonna disagree with everyone here. I just got the game during the sale and it works perfectly in vr. The controls are good (I use a gamepad), the graphics are good, the gameplay is good. No complaints at all.

I use a Rift S. I don't pay attention to the stats on performance, but I have the oculus tray tool set at 1.5, a 1070, and notice no issues with performance.

Now i am confused, im thinking of buying it, its on sale, the Ultimate edition for just 10 Euros, but its worthless if it does not run well.

I got i9900k 32gb4000ram with 1070, all run very well, but no matter what hardware if the game is not done well its a fail, any advice ?
(i may buy it, try it and if not happy get refund i guess)

I just bought it in the sale for VR, using a Rift with a XBox One controller. Controls are fine but the visuals are terrible. Perhaps the Rift S handles it better, but on my Rift it's difficult to see anything when moving.

EDIT: If you're looking for a great space shooter try X Rebirth VR.

After messing with settings it runs much better if you turn Anti Aliasing off. It's actually playable in VR now.

Yeah, it's pretty good, I grabbed it in the sale too. X Rebirth is the daddy though, huge galaxy to explore, fly with sticks and triggers and aim your weapons by looking at the target. It's great.

Just get it, refund if you don't like it. But remember that DLC cannot be refunded, so I would only buy the base game. If you like it get the DLC next sale, it goes on sale quite often. I think you'll like it, assuming you like the game in general. If you enjoy the game, you'll also enjoy it in vr.

I had serious performance issues for a long time, however after trying again I'm happy to say they've been fixed, at least for me. I'm running on a 1080 and performance jumped from absolute minimum settings just barely managing to get 90fps in perfect conditions, to managing a fairly consistent 90fps with settings turned up high and 150 SS.
