Is this game compatible with a Thrustmaster T.Flight Hotas X flightstick?
Looking for a flight sim game to test out my new flightstick for those kinds of games.

It worked for me (T.Flight Hotas one here) mostly but I had to use the mouse for some parts of the game like menu selection. Not a deal breaker but annoying in VR.

Good to know. Maybe I'll give this game a chance.

If you are looking for a game to test your flight stick i would not recommend this one.
You will be able to get it to work but the hotas support is so blotchy in this game.

If you want to test your flight stick download DCS it is free

That stick does work nice, but Everspace is not the best game to test out a flightstick. The game is more designed for KB+M play, so playing with a flightstick can be highly iffy at times. Instead, I suggest using Descent 2 to test out your flightstick. That game's more suited to it.

hijacking to ask if it's still impossible to do slow continuous movements with a joystick.

That's the issue I ran into. If I moved the stick a tiny bit I would move for a second before it stopped again. Not continuous like you'd expect

In one of the last patches, we've introduced an "Input Smoothing" option that is enabled by default. Turning this off gets rid of the default deadzones that we introduced for gamepads, and is recommended for Hotas players.

Awesome. Tested it and it works like I'd expect it to. Now I can play it with full immersion. Doesn't matter if it's less competitive to me.
