Main reason they're coming after the Clone is because of the affiliation to the Colonial warfront, specifically being a clone (which should have been shut down after the war, but is the only way Adam thought to save himself).
How did Admiral Gorc get Warships to hunt you down? I get he is an Admiral but I don't know how the heck he can convice up to 3 Warships to stop you or maybe more.
After his death, those Warships never show up anymore...so I do think this is a strong case of "we're only in it for the profit." Though this is just an educated guess on what's taken place through the story, I think there could be other valid reasons for this one.
In the end it is up to the devs if they want to tell us more about the game world before we can make any good guesses.
And the Admiral confirms this knowledge when he asks, "Do you recognize me?" In which the clone responds that he does, indicating the clone poses a threat to his plans. As such, Admiral Gorc knows he must stop this clone, and all renditions of it, due to them carrying the incrimidating information against him.
Regarding tracking down the clone facility, I do agree there could have been some tracking on Gorc's part. At the same time, he was ensuring they could never leave the sector...but I digress. Maybe the story extension DLC will cover this?
I don't remember seeing that part
