How do you actually use a Glyph?

I have a Glyph that's supposed to split the missiles in two once you fire them and another one that's supposed to give you an ancient shock rifle, how do I actually get these items? I also have another Glyph that's supposed to show all ancient structures on the map but it doesn't seem to work, "ancient structure" doesn't even show up in the map legend.

Glyphs can be equipped before a run like any other enhancement that you may have unlocked.

There's usually only one or two ancient structures per entire run. The map legend will only show and explain what the icons are if they are present, meaning it won't show an icon for an ancient structure if there isn't one in that sector.

How do you "equip" them? I click it and nothing happens.

When you start a new run, in the "setup" menu, the glyphs go in your "Enhancement" slot(s), next to where you would change the ship's colors and below the big box showing the ship's starting loadout. Click on an open enhancement slot, then select one of the glyphs (I think each ship, by default, has at least one enhancement slot available, someone please correct me if I'm wrong). If you already have an enhancement active, you'll have to click on that one and unequip it first, you can't just click on a new glyph/enhancement to replace it.
