What type of sound card are you using? On board? Creative? What operation system? Be specific :)

Op windows 7, no idea on soundcard :/ cant find anything about it on the pc -_-

but curiously after the 3rd start up... it worked fine, must be a glitch

Yeah,I had the same bug when I first started the game.It still happens after a while but its nothing that cant be fixed with a restart.

I had the same problem last night. Just YouTube the intro instead of spending 45 minutes trying to fix it.

It's really not that great, anyway.

Im sorry, I must disagree, it's a very cool vid, and regardless, payed for the game, and I'd like to have working sound, Im having this issue as well, it's annoying as hell that it worked before the update, and now it doesn't, restarts aren't fixing it. Videos are an integral part of the game, Does anyone know a fix for this? im using on board msi sound drivers with soundblaster, on an msi ge70 apache.

You need to download dx9/dx10june

I had this issue when connected through SPDIF with a home theater, switching to my headphones got the sound back on videos.

Change sound quality system preference from 24 bit 48 000 kHz to 16 bit 48 000 kHz solves the problem

nope, that does not work because mine was already 16/48k long before installing the game.

but it is possible tinkering with that setting may fix the issue as the sound is good now after I restarted the game. I tried 24/48k and 16/44k, and now it is back to the old setting (16/48k).

BTW, I also noticed the issue is present in the opening videos (like the nvidia one) and you do not need to start a new game to see if it is fixed.

It is a weird bug. If you restart, it works. There must be some kind of sound initialization going on.
