Lobart's work clothes confusion
The price for the workclothes at lobart's farm was around 25-30 gold pieces after I did all the quests for him. He even commented "it's not gonna get any cheaper".
Then I started a new game after I accidentally got some thieves guild people killed.

After the restart, I did the quests for him and the other npcs on the farm again, except now it only gets down to 40 gold pieces.
What gives?

Its what you answered during your conversations with him. He just doesnt like you this playthrough because you answered you are for the king this time.

If you say at start of the quest line you are for the king the price is only going down to 40 GP. If you say you are for the peasants then its going down to 30 GP.
