I think I'll try unsubscribing and then resubscribing and see if that helps.
What good is the Workshop if every time a Workshop mod is updated it breaks your game?
Something doesn't make sense here. I wouldn't think a mere update should make your game unplayable. But that's what happened here. As of this moment, my game won't start at all now. I really don't want to uninstall it and reinstall it and start over.
Boy, really frustrating.
It has nothing to do with the Workshop itself. A lot of people are compaining that G3D11 is not working after the latest v17.8-dev20 update, with the same Access Denied error as you are having. You should wait for some kind of workaround or update from the G3D11 developer and not blame the Workshop platform. Until then, you can switch to the default game branch and install some previous G3D11 version manually.
The functionality of the uploaded mod is the responsibility of the developer of this mod, not the Workshop's (except for malicious, fraud, and misleading content).

LOL, I started a new game of Morrowind instead lol. I did back up my saves folder before I uninstalled it in case I do feel like reinstalling it. But this time I guess I'll go back to the gog version that I played last time. I never had any trouble with that, it's just man the workshop was so easy... you just a little green button instead of downloading, installing, adjusting, etc. But, fair or not, you know how first impressions are, this was my very first impression with the Workshop feature so... yeah I'll be hesitant to use it again. I know there's a reasonable explanation (you posted it) but it's just a bad taste in my mouth that means even if I do go back and try Workshop it will likely be awhile. Just human nature, you know?
