how do you kill these lizards wtf?

i am level 9 on chapter 1, and these lizards is giving me alot of trouble, their attack range are incredibly long and it seems impossible to dodge their attack. like the animation doesn't even connect yet i still got damage. which is weird because most of the enemies are quite fair and i discovered a viable strategy for each of them. for example, i managed to beat my first lurker at level 7 by attacking on a correct timing and back-stepping correctly. these lizards seems impossible unless you brute force them with level/stat/equipment because their hit range is bigger than the actual sprite it seems.

Yeah, lizards are one of the hardest animals to fight, so if its your first time playing, you should probably just wait for better armor/stats.
If you want to kill them now, try not back-stepping at all, just attack, and then attack again, when lizard starts moving.

They are kinda easy to kill. I got near level 9 and got 60 strenght. Plus, i have 30% skill of melee (one handed swords). Pretty easy to kill them. Just making combo by front attack, waiting, 'till they start attacking me. Then, hard front only combo and they are dead
I'm guardian, got 40 def.

maybe that is the problem >__> i actually haven't joined any faction yet, so i still use the basic leather armor

I managed to deal with them by using double back-stepping instead of single one and start back-stepping a bit earlier. Also they can dodge melee attacks a lot, so prepare for longer fights until you get strong enough =)
