Cheat to give more xp?
Is it possible to enter a cheat or edit my save file to give myself a little more xp? I screwed up a quest and can't reload and can't stop thinking about it lol

Either edit your abilities via the console or
use the xp book "insert ItWr_Addon_BookXP1000" via the console
pick it up, read it and itll grant you 1k xp if im not mistaken

Use this *very* carefully, and make a backup save (one that you don't do this to) BEFORE you do it, because I know it worked in Gothic 1 but haven't tested it in Gothic 2 or NotR.

0. Open your character screen and write down/remember the number for how much experience you have so far. (I'll use the number 100 to make this easy).

1. Enable the console by pressing B (to open your character screen) and typing "marvin" (without the quotes) and then pressing B again. You should see "marvin mode" flash in the upper left of your screen.

2. Press F2 to open the console.

3. Type in "edit abilities" (without quotes), and press Enter.

4. Type "xp=150" (without quotes). This is you taking the number from step 0 above and adding however much experience you want for the quest you missed/failed/whatever. So above I said I had 100 experience, and now I'm adding 50 to it for the missed quest, for a total of 150. Whatever number you put in, when you're done, press Enter.

5. Esc out of that and close the console (if it didn't close, just press F2 again to close it. Now press B and type "42" (without the quotes) and press B again. This closes you out of cheat mode so your Function keys work "normally" again.

Honestly this is a lot of work for a little bit of missed experience, but whatever. :)

"Exp" command doesn't work at all anymore.

Read the Instructions again and then follow them exactly. There is not a single line where it says "Exp".
