What various Wiki editors do is that they complete the story bits in various ways according to what is known from different sources. Ur-Shak does not play any role in Gothic 3, and the Nameless Hero only meets Thorus at Trelis, not when he "arrives on the continent" by ship. The Wiki says "after he arrives on the continent", whatever that may mean. Thorus also doesn't mention Lord Hagen. The manual does. The manual also mentions the ship name Esmerelda.
Do you think the pirates that stole the Esmeralda in G3 are the same pirates that the nameless hero meets in Jharkendar in NotR?
Wiki entries are to be taken with a grain of salt. It would not be the first game where editors don't distinguish between the original games, external background story information, mods and franchise products, such as Gothic 3 Forsaken Gods and Arcania (aka Gothic 4).
