Impossibe to use Borderless Window
Gothic 2 works well for me whenever I run it but everytime I try to start the game with ZStartUpWindowed=1 or BorderlessWindow=1 from the gothic ini and the systempack ini, the game gives me this error:

X:XD3D_InitPerDX: Can't create D3DX context! Error: DDERR_UNSUPPORTED

Is there anyway to fix this problem? I need borderless window to ALT + TAB out of the game.

Note: DX11 actually fixes it but it is very buggy and crashes my game a whole lot more with constant:

  • OutOfMemory crashes that corrupt my quicksaves

  • Skeletal mesh crashes out of nowhere.

It even crashes because sometimes it fails to parse someone's line of dialogue.

I also used DX11 with Vurt's Texture Overhaul, but I'm not sure how texture packs would create these errors.

Are you using Spine or the old gothic starter ? I think there is an option to start the game in windowed mode, if that's what you want to do.

GothicStarter is used since I have the SystemPack. It doesnt matter if I start it with Gothic2 or GothicStarter as the same crash occurs.

Although I've found another solution. Using Marvin Mode, I can just force the game to go windowed without crashing, using F3
