Using the Bennet exploit?

Hi there!
I'm close to enter the fire mage apprenticeship in the monastery. So I want to push my chars strength and agility using the Innos Shrine before I becoma a novice.
I could use Bennet's eternal steel source and those 2LPs to easily get all the money I need for that (and money for everything else); but it feels like cheating.
On the other hand; he has to make a lot of swords for the mercenaries at Onars farm. I would get money for helping him and that isn't cheating! I simply would get paid for my work in the forge.
What do you think about that? Is it right to be a blacksmith for some hours to get 100k Gold?
