D3D11 Renderer crashes getting more frequent
Hey there.

So I've played roughly 30 hours just with the renderer alone, and it's been great. About 5-7 hours ago I added Vurt's Graphics Overhaul with it, and it looks better than ever. However, I've now gotten 3 crashes in the last 3 times I've played the game. Generally the screen turns black and I have to Ctrl-Alt-Del to exit the program. One time I couldn't Alt-Tab out of the game, and another the game slowed to a 0 FPS slideshow until I quit it. Using an Nvidia 970 GTX.

Any ideas of how to fix this or make the game not crash? Peace!

Shout out to Thorsil from the other thread, who posted this. I played for 2 hours just now and didn't have so much as a hiccup.

Well, I did some more research and I think I might have solved my problem.

I am on Windows 10 x64 and this is what I did:

-right click Gothic2.exe
-click properties
-click the Compatability tab
-click Change settings for all users
-check Reduced color mode
-check Override high DPI scaling behavior
-check Run this program as an administrator
-click Apply

So far so good on the crashes. Hoprfully this helps if anyone else is having similar issues.

Just wanted to post for future Google searches. Peace!
