Auto aim/target lock

How to disable this in Gothic II night of the raven? Its really annoying when fighting a monster or talking to someone you have to steer the mouse so far away just to change or unlock your target. I'm playing vanilla without moda or patches.
Help me please.

It's a soft lock (unless you use the button assigned to hard lock on to a target but you're not talking about that) so you just have to move the mouse slightly away from the target and towards the target you want. If you want to make sure your preferred target remains targeted during a chaotic fight, you may want to use the (hard) lock button.

No, I've been looking for mod or tweak that can completely disable this stupid lock thing. Like free aim with bow or sword combat where I need to manually aim on whoever I want to fight. It really makes me want to hit my own ♥♥♥♥ with a hammer.

They are working on a new aim system for bows, so that you can free aim with those.
For the rest, idk if anything else will be affected, and also nobody knows when that mod will be released.

Nice but an english version?

Anyway what I saw was a new modification from l'hiver where you can free aim with bows and magic

Free sword aim would help me greatly

Maybe free sword could be implemented aswell, since also magic is there.

Since someone had the same problem in his streams I looked into it and found an easy solution:

- Open up the settings,
- then choose Game (the first options),
- then go down to the last option "Gothic 1 controls" and turn it on.

Now you can switch targets and the hard is now a soft lock which means you can change direction whenever you want, turn aside and so on. It doesnt change your control scheme so dont worry.
