as for the "respawn" the enemies don't respawn, there are new one getting spawned
So for example if you have a place where there is 5 scavengers sitting around on chapter 1, if you ignore them the whole game and come back in like chapter 5 rather than seeing those 5 scavengers you would see like 15, why? Because with each chapter extra few were spawned, and the ones you didn't killed stay alive.
And the distance doesn't matter, its usually just done so NPCs don't need to fight wild beasts
Yes yes, but they spawned within chapter 2. I walked there twice, and killed them (the second time there were more) twice.
