Turned into Dragon Snapper... Now Everyone Wants to KILL ME?? [HELP]
So...am I ♥♥♥♥♥♥? I wanted to join the mercenaries. I was told by Jarvis to "rough up" Sylvio's men. So i beat one of them in battle and killed him I guess... because he simply would not vote for me. I roughed up Setenza. I said that thing about how his face looks like a butt, and since I was too low a level to beat him with ANY chance (lvl 5 or 6) I led him up to the bandit camp, got him stuck and shot him with arrows and small firestorms (3) until he was finally beaten. BUT I think I killed him! When I ask Torlof what the mercenaries think of me he doesn't mention him, and my character won't mention that he beat Sentenza to Jarvis! WTF. So i wanted to just go fight Bullco because I had nothing else i was strong enough to do. I was nowhere near strong enough though. I tried using a sleep spell on him and then hitting him until he was done but my hits weren't strong enough. So, i went ♥♥♥♥ it. I lured him away and turned into a dragon snapper via spell scroll. I beat him no problem (Think he's dead though!! WTF) And then i decided to clear out a couple bandit camps while I was at it. Here's the new ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ problem. I ran past all the mercenaries and some guards. Now, Mika, one of the East Gate guards, and ALL OF THE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ MERCENARIES want to KILL ME. What do I do?? Please help.. I love this game and invested so much time into it already, easily 20+ hours.

(And yes, I deactivated the scroll)

You know,Torlof says that you shouldn't kill someone in a duel. From what I hear, you used magic and ranged to win those duels. You do know that those things always cause perma death to NPCs,right? They don't knock them down on the ground.
Also, you killed someone, because he wouldn't vote for you?Not going to ask what was going through your head back then.Murdering NPCs is something you shouldn't generally do.I don't know if Gothic 2 has the thing where if you murder people from 1 settlement they will insta aggro you like in Gothic 3,because I've never done this, but I don't know if the console commands will help you.Either check online for the console commands and see if they have something to help you or load to a previous save.

Yeah that's a known bug. If you are transformed into a monster and someone sees you that makes that NPC hostile towards you even after you have transformed back.

Don't know exactly for how long but it should wear off or you may try out an oblivion spell scroll which makes people forget they are angry at you.

Or you could just face the music. Put your money in a chest and don't draw your sword (because otherwise they take it after the fight) and then face them. They most probably don't kill you but just beat you up and you can stand up again after it.

Luring ememies away and than use magic is the way to do with a lot of the harder opponents but you have to make sure the final blow isn't done by magic or ranged weapons if you want to just beat them up. You use magic and ranged weapons to wear them down and then you switch to melee for the last blows. That way you don't instantly kill NPCs. Or you just buy ice block / ice wave scrolls and use these because then your opponents are frozen and cannot do anything for the duration of the spell. (and please don't confuse these with ice lance because ice lance kills people).

Regarding Sentenza. You had the quest to beat him up and not kill him. But since you murdered him he's not part of the quest anymore and you still have to beat up half of Silvio's men. So next time you think about before you murder a NPC. :-))))))))

And BTW level 5 or 6 is bit to low to join up with the mercenaries imho. Just go exploring, kill some monsters and come back later. There is so much to see on that island.

Thanks. I was unsure if by the rules of a duel the only weapons allowed were melee...I don't remember him specifying that but it makes sense. As for the one guy, there were only a couple options as to what I could even say to him. Forgot his name. Torlof said he didn't like me and wouldn't vote for me, and the only two options were to either ask if he would vote (which he would not) or insult him, so I insulted him, as I thought that would trigger a duel. As for him, I actually managed to beat him with only a sword, but he still somehow died permanently,,, Something else I wonder is how oblivion scrolls work exactly. I know that if you use them you are forgiven for crimes, but I don't know if I could exactly defeat all of the mercenaries and use oblivion scrolls on all of them. Besides, I couldn't get ahold of more than 8 of those scrolls.

Another thing: Oddly enough, after transforming back and trying to get into town, not only did one of the guards try to kill me, but I was also stopped and fined for stealing, which I'm pretty sure I never did, so...??

Thanks! Yeah, I mean, I've thought of the final blow thing, but one weird bug I have is being unable to see my enemy's healthbar, but I've seen healthbars for enemies on videos...

The murdering doesn't get to me as much as the fact that everyone wants to kill me lol. But I suppose you're right on putting my stuff in a chest...I never tried that in the 25 hrs I've been playing lol I usually just save a ton and reload my save and try again when I die with stuff

As far as the health bar goes though, that's kind of weird...

Never have I heard of Torlof not voting for you if you haven't passed your test or actually being able to challenge him to a duel.Don't wish to spoil, but he is one of the immortal NPCs.Oblivion scroll works like this. You beat up someone or steal from them. They catch you.You run away or beat them up.When they stop chasing you creep up on them and use Oblivion or after they gain their consciousness use it on them.

Did you install the gothic 2 systempack?

Just leave the area for a bit (maybe go to sleep) then come back to those farms and rush in ti Lee. If you caused any trouble he will ask you to pay to clear things up, after you did so, noody should be chasing you amymore.

Don't waste this scroll, Fester, Baster and Rod you can beat with 10% weapon lore and 10+ STR, just HIT-BLOCK-HIT...PROFIT. ( you can also use save-load). For Bulko you need few scrolls of fire arrow if you want, or just don't touch him. Sentenza is a bit angry(: You have to WIN a duel, not to kill them, so finish your duels not with ranged weapon or magic. Also, you can use scrolls of oblivion or just "NEW GAME". Btw, if u want to exp with this scroll of transformation, pay attention, that your HP don't grow up with lvl-up.( for example - you are 1 lvl and have 100hp, you use transform scroll and kill the whole location, you are now 15lvl, but still with 100hp.) Good luck.

Wow thanks that's a good tip! I'll be careful with those scrolls from now on!

Nope... What does it add? No idea how I haven't heard of it
Basnap Dec 30, 2016 @ 5:14pm
In general it helps with a lot of incompatibilities.

Wouldnt be a bad idea to give it a try, if this doesn't help you could check if the bar appears if you change the resolution higher or lower.
