Also, you killed someone, because he wouldn't vote for you?Not going to ask what was going through your head back then.Murdering NPCs is something you shouldn't generally do.I don't know if Gothic 2 has the thing where if you murder people from 1 settlement they will insta aggro you like in Gothic 3,because I've never done this, but I don't know if the console commands will help you.Either check online for the console commands and see if they have something to help you or load to a previous save.
Don't know exactly for how long but it should wear off or you may try out an oblivion spell scroll which makes people forget they are angry at you.
Or you could just face the music. Put your money in a chest and don't draw your sword (because otherwise they take it after the fight) and then face them. They most probably don't kill you but just beat you up and you can stand up again after it.
Luring ememies away and than use magic is the way to do with a lot of the harder opponents but you have to make sure the final blow isn't done by magic or ranged weapons if you want to just beat them up. You use magic and ranged weapons to wear them down and then you switch to melee for the last blows. That way you don't instantly kill NPCs. Or you just buy ice block / ice wave scrolls and use these because then your opponents are frozen and cannot do anything for the duration of the spell. (and please don't confuse these with ice lance because ice lance kills people).
Regarding Sentenza. You had the quest to beat him up and not kill him. But since you murdered him he's not part of the quest anymore and you still have to beat up half of Silvio's men. So next time you think about before you murder a NPC. :-))))))))
And BTW level 5 or 6 is bit to low to join up with the mercenaries imho. Just go exploring, kill some monsters and come back later. There is so much to see on that island.
Thanks. I was unsure if by the rules of a duel the only weapons allowed were melee...I don't remember him specifying that but it makes sense. As for the one guy, there were only a couple options as to what I could even say to him. Forgot his name. Torlof said he didn't like me and wouldn't vote for me, and the only two options were to either ask if he would vote (which he would not) or insult him, so I insulted him, as I thought that would trigger a duel. As for him, I actually managed to beat him with only a sword, but he still somehow died permanently,,, Something else I wonder is how oblivion scrolls work exactly. I know that if you use them you are forgiven for crimes, but I don't know if I could exactly defeat all of the mercenaries and use oblivion scrolls on all of them. Besides, I couldn't get ahold of more than 8 of those scrolls.
Another thing: Oddly enough, after transforming back and trying to get into town, not only did one of the guards try to kill me, but I was also stopped and fined for stealing, which I'm pretty sure I never did, so...??
Thanks! Yeah, I mean, I've thought of the final blow thing, but one weird bug I have is being unable to see my enemy's healthbar, but I've seen healthbars for enemies on videos...
The murdering doesn't get to me as much as the fact that everyone wants to kill me lol. But I suppose you're right on putting my stuff in a chest...I never tried that in the 25 hrs I've been playing lol I usually just save a ton and reload my save and try again when I die with stuff
As far as the health bar goes though, that's kind of weird...
Did you install the gothic 2 systempack?
Thanks! I'll try that if the city guard doesn't kill me lol
Wow thanks that's a good tip! I'll be careful with those scrolls from now on!
Nope... What does it add? No idea how I haven't heard of it
Wouldnt be a bad idea to give it a try, if this doesn't help you could check if the bar appears if you change the resolution higher or lower.
