But what are they used for? Unless the one NotR guide I'm using is also outdated, it doesn't look like any forged weapons are better than the Dragon Slicer. Do I need blood for anything else other than forging weapons?
The scales I guess are for the armor, so unless that has changed from vanilla Gothic, I suppose I do need to learn that one.
I'm just not sure about the blood.
Dragon blood is needed for the weapons. Making the last tier Dragon Hunter weapons requires dragons blood. Difference between the Dragon slicer and The large ore dragon slayer is that the ore weapons gives you bonus skill to two handed weapons while the dragon slicer gives you 10 damage more.
I mean the gold cost. Isn't it a lot?
What do I need dragon blood for if I don't forge? Or is there something worth forging better than the Dragon Slicer?
No, dragonblood is use exclusively to create weapon afaik, Bennet can teach you magic ore weapon and the best one is 10 damage lower than dragonslicer but it gives you +10 bonus 2h skill. IMO the +10 2h talent is definitely worth more
I'm already easily at 100% in 2H skill, so that won't matter for me. I guess I can skip the dragon blood.
Ironically, I got the light DH armor (for free!) before I even had a chance to buy the heavy mercenary armor, so I guess it's possible to skip some of them.
