Bad FPS lag, game is unplayable

Hello everyone, I am getting some very bad FPS lag thats making the game unplayable. I've uninstalled and reisntalled the game like 5 times to try different things, but can't find a solution.

Here are the things I have tried....

Gothic2_fix-2.6.0.0-rev2.exe
Gothic2_PlayerKit-2.8
The lastest SysemPack
L'Hiver Mod
D3D11 Renderer
The steam fix (The game wouldn't even open when I installed this. And I had to reinstall the game.)
I've disabled the steam overlay
I've set compatibility to winxp and run as admin.
All drivers are up to date

I'm out of options I don't know what else to do. Can anyone please help?

Windows 10
i5 7200u 2.5ghz
8gb ddr4
950m graphics

You can maybe lower some of the texture in game with F11. D3D11 is no joke, it takes its toll on your system. Try disabling dynamic shadow which is the cause of fps drop for many.

I also encounter the problem of my laptop not using graphics card. Try forcing the modded exe to start with your graphics card. Right click- run with graphics proce- high quality ...

Dude your a genius lol. I right clicked the gothic2.exe and clicked run with graphics process nvivdia high performance. And it worked.

How do I make it run with my nvidia gpu at all times though?

You can make an exception in the nvidia panel, but in my laptop it pretty much overrides that and uses intel graphics instead. I always need to do it manually.

The exception is actually working for me. Thanks a lot for your help. I just made it to the city. I'm going to get hooked on gothic 2 again lol

Yeah, it's somewhat custom built, but it's still a laptop, and if I'm being honest, a bit of a craptop.

yo just got lhiver for the first time and yea getting pretty low fps its playable but veryyy annoying just finished modding the first game and that runs butter smooth.

i7 8700. rtx 2070 32 gs of ram. also just reinstalled rdr 2 and that runs smoother then g1 :DD
any ideas ? ill try to lower the settings but to me this seems to be a problem of the mod. my specs are obviously way too good to not run this smooth so .... kinda at a loss here dont really want to waste time reinstalling or whatever since that wont do ♥♥♥♥.
what a shame.
like i said everything else, modded g1, archolos run perfectly witrh dx11, rdr 2 0 lag.
just lhiver...
