I don't know if it's that we all played it when we was young, so that being something in our memories makes it better, or if it's actually an unique masterpiece.
From my opinion, as a 15 years gamer, is that nowdays they can't find innovation, and they point all on graphic.
Gothic 2 is really one of the best top 10 games ever made for me.
The fact that you start with few gold is pretty common in rpg, only in Gothic 2, money isn't worth a damn, because you unlock items automatically by progression (chapters...).
But yes, game is quite superb otherwise.
I really have found G2 to be the best and I don't think that it is because I played it early.
Shoot...I was twenty-five when I played it. I still hold it in awe over all other games.
