Is that with version 1.6 or version 1.75.14?

Perhaps visit the desert of Varant or the ice cold lands of Nordmar early.
Its not the rain but the terrible annoying rain sound in Gothic 3. That is because it doesnt sound like rain but just like my TV is broken.
After it starts I immediately go to the next bed and sleep for 2 days. But sadly a few more days and it starts again.
I wouldnt mind so much if there is a bed nearby but when Im in the wilderness and I have stop what Im currently doing then it really gets to me.
Not to place too many IRL traits on a fantasy world, as it's obvious from a glance at a Gothic 3 map that that there's a good amount of abstractionm with geography being very compressed to make a workable/playable terrain. That said...from a geographical and meteorological perspective, it does make some sense. Both Khorinis and Archolos are smaller islands where more dynamic weather patterns are more likely to ensure rain doesn't stay around for a long period.
Whereas Myrtana looks to be part of a continent. By the build up of ice in the more northerly and colder Nordmar region, it appears the world builders were suggesting weather mostly blows in from the northeast. The much colder Nordmar traps much of it as snow and ice. But with Varant being a desert, the game builders are suggesting that wet weather stalls over Myrtana, with its southern mountains soaking up what's remaining and creating a severe rain shadow for Varant. It makes sense then that when it does rain over Myrtana, that it's going to get soaked for longer in comparison to Archolos and Khorinis.
That of course does make for a more annoying Myrtana, for any player that isn't enthused about the game's rain effects.
