Yes, thanks to your great guide, I found the 1.75 patch. Previously, I had been using the English side of the site... to get downloads for each of the Gothic games (I have them all) only to find that many 'needed' patches are only available in the German translation. It's not a huge deal since we have google translate these days. It does make it a bit tougher though when doing internet searches for mods. I just found it curious that so many mods we 'want / need' are not in the English translated side of their site. But, hey... thanks for this great guide btw. Love how you have the simple quick solution and then a more thorough solution!

Wer suchet, der findet. Seek and you shall find.
Why does the WorldOfGothic website host an English translation (for us English speaking/reading only folk) and the original German side of the site... yet, the available downloads in English is severely limited compared to what's listed in the German translation. This patch is a prime example. In English, the community patch is only available up to 1.7.4 and we have to use translation to find the 1.75 patch. There's many like this for all the games too.
The community patch added the ability to dodge backwards. By default, this is the "Enter" button. Question: is it possible to reassign this button in the configurations? The key location is, to put it mildly, not very convenient.
