Controller Support?
This is a pretty awesome game. :)

My only gripe is there doesn't SEEM to be an option to use a 360 controller. Am I missing something? Thanks!

Thanks ;) You should have no problems using your 360 controller. Plug the controller, open the game and go to options to set the controller bindings.

My wired xbox360 controller isn't working, either. I went to options to change keybindings, but nothing is working for me. I see keyboard at the very top, but what looks like arrows to the right and left don't work and none of the keys on the keyboard change anything either. Double chlicking the individual entries for keybindings don't help either, because my button presses don't change anything.

My Dualshock 4 with input mapper nor is my Xbox One controller working. Both of these worked prior to update.

Mine didn't either. The only thing it allowed me to do once I downloaded that file was select controller option. However I was not able to do anything with the controller.

Why can't I assign character movement to the D-pad? With a 2D game, you'd think that would be standard.

Also, I can't seem to assign anything to the Left and Right Trigger buttons. Is there a fix for this?

I dont have the game actually, but your problem with the Triggers is a known problem with the 360 pad. They act as one button (in other words as Z Axis) if a game use D-Input, X-Input is required to use both Triggers as seperate buttons.
There was a tool to solve it but i can't remember the name. Also you can change the Configuration of the Pad, but that is not recommended because this can cause intern Software problems with the 360 Pad.

Edit: If you want a good gamepad for a game like this you can try the iBuffallo Classic USB Pad, i own it beside of the 360 Pad and it works great as far as a game use D-Input but it has only 8 buttons.

A game like this without proper controller support = no buy.

I was able to play it with my xbox 360 (wired) controller. I still have to use mouse for the game menus but the character and game plays fine. You have to select it in the menu. But no need for installing third party software and configuring it. It's plug and play so yes it does have controller support.

As you probably know the D-Pad for the xbox360 sucks. So i just use the left stick for the character and the X and A button for shoot and jump. It plays fine.
