Trying to reset controls on the Xbox Controller

After me and a friend split the cost of the game and some of the dlc we had a lot of fun. We were forced to use controllers but we prefered it anyway. He was having problems inputing the stratgems on the dpad so i swapped them with the A,X,Y, and B buttons. This...... didnt work out so well because the down on the dpad still moved stuffaround the on the menu and weapon selection.... ect. I cant hit the reset controlls button the the controller because it wil keep moving it down and not hit "yes" in the dialouge box for the reset controls. Any help would be greatly appreciated :D

Yeah, certain actions are linked together and you can't separate them. For example, 'melee' and 'back' (for menus) are always linked, so you can't change 'melee' without changing what also controls 'back'.

You should be able to fix it by going to your button layout screen (the same one you used to swap your controls around) and look at the bottom of the screen. It should tell you what button to press to reset your controls. It's hard for me to help beyond that as I don't know which buttons you currently have mapped to what.

The game wouldn't have let you confirm through the mapping process until you had everything mapped, so don't worry about it being impossible. It's just a matter of you figuring out what you have set to 'interact' and 'back' so you can work your way around the menu.

Are you able to confirm anything? Not just the "reset controls" part. If so, you might be able to manually change buttons around enough where you can actually use the "reset controls" option.
