Can't select graphics card
The game auto uses my intel 4000 graphics card but I want to use my nvidia 620m. So far I tried:

- right click helldivers.exe and select 'run with nvidia'
- in the nvidia control panel choose the 620m to be used with helldivers.exe
- set nvidia to preferred graphics card for any app

It doesn't work! Also in the game I can't select graphics cards. What can I do? Using windows 10.

that page doesn't exist but based on the title, yes I've done that already

Yeaaaahhh... No help. Thanks anyways.

my friend with a laptop has tried everything to make helldivers use his nvidia gpu instead of intel. he tried making the nvidia control panel overide all games and he tried specifically adding helldivers.exe. for some reason helldivers just doesn't want to behave.

Yeah, that's the same situation for me. Nothing I have done has helped. The devs should really investigate this.

I've that problem too. Nothing helps. No matter what I try, the game keeps using the Intel-chip and that way it's not playable. Without a fix I can't play this game :-/

I know this is fairly old, but it's the first result on google for the problem, so I figured I'd post my solution here so others have a higher chance of seeing it. (And maybe it helps you, too)

I ran into the same problem, and it turned out to be something a bit deeper than helldivers ignoring settings.

This solution is nvidia only. It's for people who tried everything above and nothing did work (like me). Try those things, they're all good advice.

What I found out is that the nvidia driver likes to suck. Because every time I changed the setting of helldivers.exe specifically or the global settings to "use dedicated graphics card" it wouldn't save. Test it for yourself: Open your nvidia control panel (desktop -> rightclick), go to 3d options -> global options -> preferred graphics processor and change it to the nvidia processor. Click "apply" in the bottom right. Now, select any other task in the left side, like "physx configuration" or something and then back to 3d options. If the "Preferred graphics processor" option has reset itself, you have the some problem like me (and a lot of other people).

Now, what does it mean and what do we do about it? It means that nvidia doesn't save your options and probably doesn't care what you select, which is bad. I tried a graphic driver upgrade and it ended up doing more harm than good, giving me a "ACCESS DENIED" error everytime I tried to change the preferred graphics card.

HOW TO SOLVE IT.
Now, this is rather unspectacular. Deinstall your graphics driver (control panel -> programs -> uninstall -> nvidia graphics driver) and everything else graphics related. Then do a clean install of your video card driver. This fixed it for me and I can now rightfully select the preferred graphics processor with nvidia actually listening to the setting. I hope this can fix it for you, too.

TL;DR: Nvidia driver seems to like to get corrupted, do a clean driver reinstall and try again.

Y570 has a manual switch to turn on the nvidia gpu. It's in the lower right hand corner and you slide it over and hold it until the light comes on

Maybe this would help you to enable your nvidia graphic card?
I wrote a guide to solve this problem.
But for now it is only available in Russian.
