How to use demolition satchels
I know how to throw them, i just cant work out how to detonate them...

Reload to detonate. You can do them all at once and even call more down and detonate a max of 11 at once

Ummmm... is this true?? Because when I used them only the backpack that spawned them could detonate them....1 detonaator/5 charges..
I'll test some more....

Hmmm tbh mate youve got me doubting myself. First thing I did with my rec 6 was try and see how many I could detonate and could have sworn it was 2 packs but I havnt tried since and cant test right now as im at work but your probably right, im probably mis-remembering..

bah.. sry for callin you out.. you got my hopes up, haha!

I like being that crazy guy running TOWARDS the tank, chukin satchels at it...
So far on the Cyborgs I know three will get a tank...anyone know if two? or even one will work. Depends on if its a fresh tank of course...
Also, I wonder if the reload button works while your in prone, I havent tried this yet.

I was bummed out too when I tried to get a Distracto beacon going...load up the area with satchel chargs, monitor the radar and wait..then kaboom them. Unfortunately, they are not actually "Spawned" at that point, its just their place holder...so it doesnt work!!

I use tossed single charges to break up alien rushes (basically, more powerful grenades). The trick is tapping reload while it's still in the air.

While I've used them to take out hard targets (like the AA guns that prevent stratagem drops in certain areas), it seems to take a single detonation of several charges to succeed. I've been hit or miss using them for bug nests because sometimes I can't seem to find an angle that lets me toss the charges into the nest or on the upper nest lip; if it's at the base, they don't seem to do the trick, even en masse.

While I've used them against tanky enemies (cyborg infantry tank; bug tanks etc.), I can't really argue that they're better than using plain old rocket launcher type stuff (EAT-17 et al), I just find the charges kind of fun to use as a change of pace. :)

dont forget that if you hold the trow butten it wil charge and trow further after leting go.
for the cyborg tank you only need one charge if it lands on top of it
for the bug nest the tric is to hold and aim a little bit behind the hole and it shud enter like a basket ball
if can get these basics it's better than the rocket lauchers in my opinion

Yeah and stand further back then you think to get them up and into the hole on the nests...
Also the Remote distance is 4 grids away.
I had one beaon Illiuminate that took 1 satchel charge, while the one beside I had to use 6...the satchels bounce around so its hard to get em exactly where they needs to be.
