HELLDIVERS upgrade and Bundles

Hi everyone,

We've noted that a few of you have asked about upgrades in case you got the regular version of Helldivers but later wish to add the DLC, or have been worried about the costs of buying all DLC separately.

There is a Mega Bundle which will give you the DLCs in one big pack even after buying the regular version, plus a couple of combined Reinforcement packs. We will try and get them more visible on the store page.

Mega Bundle

Reinforcement Pack 1

Reinforcement Pack 2

There is no upgrade from HELLDIVERS to HELLDIVERS Digital Deluxe Edition at the moment, but with the Mega Bundle you get the content.

We don't have further information if this is likely to change in the future, but we will keep you updated if anything happens.

in my region
the game cost Rp 218.000
DDE cost Rp 326.000
Mega bundle pack is 300.000

so if i buy separately the difference is almost the price of the game it self.

Honestly i regret i didnt buy the DDE version because i didnt know the bundle.
now i want to buy the mega bundle but the price difference is just mehhhh

That's exactly the problem. Current buyers see all the store options and go "wtf with this dlc price ffs". They are FREE to make a decision on their deluxe vs standard +/- dlc purchase. Whereas we, the prepurchasers, had no insight into this deranged situation with dlcs per se costing more than deluxe, and got shagged out dry for supporting this company with a standard early access edition.

The only civilized way to make it right now is to add a no-penalty upgrade for standard prepurchasers only, as the devs have definitely sold these silly megabundles now and there could be a new wave of butthurt from folks who bought them. But you have to help us prepurchasers, devs, you know it's the right thing to do with this drastic f*ck up.

2 days late to the argument, but I don't see what you all are yapping about. I bought the digital deluxe version 1 day before the pre-order period ended BECAUSE it said YOU GET ALL THE DLC once the game goes live. I don't even live in the US either, as some of you are reporting.

If you feel ripped off, that's fine and you all are entitled to it. But don't blame the developers for your mistake in not reading the store page. It was pretty clear when I made the purchase.

On the flipside, if that info wasn't there for earlier purchases, then that's a different matter entirely.

You'd have to be pretty stupid, if you couldn't understand the pre-purchace bonuses, along with what the "deluxe" actually had in it.

It was so straight forward, it shouldn't be a problem.
The devs aren't at fault, they did nothing wrong, at all.

On a related subject, I couldn't help but notice that some of the FREE update content for PS4 is being sold seperately as DLC, WHY?

As far as we are aware there is no free content being sold as DLC. What are you seeing which is being sold?

This maybe isn't what he means, but I do think Steam should remove the $2.99 Ranger DLC pack from the DLC offerings list.

The Ranger Pack is already included in the Vanguard version of PC Helldivers (and in the digital deluxe), so nobody should technically need to buy the Ranger DLC pack at all. It's already in both versions of PC Helldivers, so imho it's confusing to list it as a DLC pack for purchase. Maybe just label it as "all Helldivers PC players already have this Ranger DLC pack."

On consoles, the Ranger DLC pack was only free as part of a limited edition bundle early on through April 28:

Aha, yes thanks for flagging that up - I will pass it on to Steam/Sony. There may be some issue though where it has to be offered on Steam regardless to match the PlayStation store or something. Anyway, appreciated :)

Adding it back in for the Deluxe and Mega Bundle look like a better 'Value'
