But fighting in cities is fun and I'm doing my part by slapping these clankers!
Especially when the majority of players ditch as soon as the bugs are gone. I was shocked to even see the Illuminates wiped out so fast.
Keep that spirit Helldiver!
Also defense missions seem to yield more samples, so go to town on that too.
Just from what Ive seen, but its not always 100 percent. Gotta fight the more difficult missions I think. Could also be that the lanes are easier to find samples in, due to the layout. Just know Ive gotten records amount by comparison to other regular missions.
Ive been there too. Been fighting the Borgs since I got here almost exclusively, thanks to the first Cyberstan lock out in Feb-March (I think it even stretched into April).
The reason for why it all happened was it takes 2 hours to lose a defense. If no one is participating, but the server still records a bunch online, it adds to that scale. I dont think it updates very often from what Ive seen. Maybe once every 12-24 hours, which could be why we lost so much this time.
But the main thing was the defenses being lost so fast. No one was participating. Most I caught just doing the challenges on Super Earth when I looked at the MP lobby.
I popped in where I could yesterday, and kept seeing a sector at a time being peeled out. But had enough IRL stuff to do that I couldnt really help with the grind outside of a couple of missions til later that night when they got to Super Earth.
Now it looks like that defense is going well, so hopefully the tide turns back, and we can crush Cyberstan faster this time.
