most of the other ones that give perks (especially the pistol replacement ones) are not great but aren't generally terrible either
DLC strategems are hit or miss, some are pretty neat but most are fairly niche (though a niche you can plan for)
DLC drip is cool
at the price it all can be bought at (~£3 if you're buying it all with the game on sale) there isn't a single DLC not worth owning.
Commando, Defender, Demolitionist, Haz-ops, Pilot, and Specialist packs are all decent packs that are useful for shaking things up with decent gear, but only worth it if you're gonna play a lot or really like the cosmetics.
Weapons pack has two good heavy weapons, but I prefer the non-dlc Recoilless Rifle to either of them, so it can be skipped.
Vehicle pack is not great, the mech and the tank are decent fun in the low-mid level missions, but unusable in the high level missions, and the non-DLC mech and IFV are just as good, if not better, than they are anyway.
Pistol pack, Entrenched pack, and Precision Expert pack have some stuff that is only good in EXTREMELY specific scenarios and I haven't used anything from any of those packs in weeks.
yes
A lot of DLCs are useful at lower levels but quickly lose their effectiveness at higher difficulties and endgame.
However, because at sales, the deluxe edition's discount is so good, it's nice to buy the whole thing so you can have some variety through the game.
Commando Pack: The rocket launcher it brings is a good option for endgame missions against the Cyborg faction who need Anti-Tank weapons to kill. It requires some skill and aim to use, but you can learn it quickly through Youtube.
Sometimes the Rumbler outperforms it but it's still pretty useful and I personally use it all the time.
Ranger Pack loses half its value at Endgame, but for the road towards Endgame it's great because it reveals the location of Samples on the map, which you need to upgrade your equipment. The sooner you get your equipment upgraded, the higher performance you can have.
However you can still skip this since only one person having it in the squad is enough.
Demolitionist Pack brings the Satchel, an Anti-Tank remote controlled bomb you can throw. It can be requested an unlimited amount of time, so if you die and lose it, you can get more. Each request gives you 5 satchels to throw. Good at medium difficulties but loses value at Endgame because of its long request cooldown.
It is however the simplest AT weapon to use so if you have trouble with AT options that require high skill levels, it's good.
Hazard Ops brings the Toxic gun which is a must-have against the Bugs faction. It has great crowd control (which is necessary since bugs come in groups), can damage anyone of any armor-level (even bug tanks) and finally, slows down anyone hit with it which is necessary to keep some enemies from reaching you.
Weapons Pack is another must-have. The plasma rifle and the Dum-Dum cannon are strong, but the main event is the Rumbler (mortar). It is possibly the strongest Anti-Tank weapon in the game, great for any Endgame mission against any faction. However it's also easy to teamkill, and taking out tanks requires you to hit their rear, so a little practice is required.
Entreched Pacl brings the AT Turret which is great for defense. It's also used in Cyborg Retaliation missions (if paired with a Medic-Gun) to outright kill every armored target in sight with one shot.
There are other ways to win Cyborg Retaliation missions, but this is one of the easiest and most effective ways.
Terrain Specialist is NECESSARY because of the boots. You WILL be a drag on the team and only working at half your potential, if you don't have these boots in a Snow map, especially since the last planet of Cyborgs is covered with snow.
That's all the DLCs I find to be useful even at Endgame.
All the other DLCs are either outright useless or quickly lose their value at higher difficulties and just slow down the squad.
Hope you got your answer.
