Promotion system with medals

Like Alien Swarm, if player reach max level and reset his progress than give some small medal that show everyone in session. It's small but nice and worthwhile one.

Well you can reset or drop your rank from the main menu if you want to play through the ranks again. You just don't get anything that'll garner the attention of others, if that's what you want.

Considering that some people have reset multiple times without a carrot to do so, I don't think we need MORE visual bragging rights or a gap between elite players and plebs haha

I basically treat science points as the "never stop making the number larger" endgame.

Yes. But also no.
What is the point in AS to reset at max so I can't use my favorite weapon that is at max lvl but I did it anyway taking fun away and getting small badge like that doesn't make me feel better...

In Helldivers after Xlvl (don't remember which one exactly) you don't have rewards (except Admiral of Super Earth uniform at max, but it's just cosmetic) and most of cool stuff is already there, so it's not really a bother to do so...

Yes. But also yes.
People who want to brag will do so by other ways, why would we encourage them in game too?
