If enough people stop playing for a day, super earth will fall and the war will restart, unlocking the rest of the content.
And yes, the 1 available race thing is pretty limiting for new players or veterans who can't be bothered to switch out their savefile.
So basically all content is the same? And you say it doesn't matter?
Seems like a pretty bland game then.
No, I'm arguing that city maps are randomized the same way as normal missions, so you still get that variëty + city maps are much more rare than say a volcanic map, so if anything a siege offers different content than you're used to.
As for blandness of games, that's just how you prefer to experience your games. There are games that receive raving reviews, but just don't tickle my fancy and others that I deeply enjoy even though "technically" they offer less than a AAA game.
Helldivers is pretty good at enemy and loadout/weapon variëty and randomized maps and spawns help to keep the game feel fresh. On the other hand, it's no RPG with plot development, memorable characters (aside from great players you meet arguably) or hand crafted levels that you can just roam around for hours to appreciate all the eye candy and cool references (though the game isn't bad looking either).
To be honest, if Helldivers feels bland in it's levels, I'd love to hear what games do a better job and what differentiates them, because they must be hidden gems I haven't discovered yet. :)
Thanks Cpt obvious. And here I was thinking someone is gonna break into my house and hold me at gunpoint if I don't play at least 2h Helldivers a day.
Man, thanks for helping. Much appreciated.
