Sprint botton is not working

Hi, I'm using an Xbox One controller, the sprint joystick (L3) is not working as it suppose to, is basically doing gestures (roger that, negative, move...) and the D-Pad is not working.

I tried to: calibrate the controller (On steam and in windows settings), play in other games (in and outside Steam & the botton is working normal), restarting the bottons in Helldivers, searching for the integrity game files, Playing with and without USB cable.

is been the 3ed day in a row trying to fix it, but nothing is working, please help!

Silly you. Its a game co-developed and published by Sony. Of course it doesnt work with Xbox accessories.

Try to connect the controller before enter the game.... and refresh the buttons in the Steam settings... Sometimes it happens but, I just close the game and enter again. It works, since the last time I posted it...

Hi, any ideas how to fix this. I'm also struggling and I'm thinking of returning the game. It's really stupid for me that after having bought a game I must spend couple of days figuring out how to play on a controller... Thanks in advance for any help

BTW: I'm using a generic pc usb pad, so not an XBOX controller

I have an old no name pad... this one you can switch between xbox and ps2 mode. perhaps you have this too?

my controller has L1, L2, R1 and R2...but my controller settings in game uses L3 which i do not have...i dont have any extra button for sprinting, what can i do?

Played with 3 friends at home 2 days ago. 4 xbox controlers : 1 One s; 1 360; 1 One; 1 Razer. Nothing went wrong. Check your big picture to see if you have an xbox config running or not.
To sprint, you have to click left stick.
Just be sure to take a look to big picture and controlers config

I´m playing with an XBOX Controller too (it´s an Elite one but don´t think that matters), and I do not have a problem with sprinting.

Does the L3 Button work funny in other games as well? Maybe it is a Problem with the Hardware :o

Edit: Oh, and I´m not playing in Big Picture Mode, if that makes a difference

I found a fix for me! Under steam library right click on game and under Properties then click Steam input per-game settings choose "Forced off". This fixed the d-pad problem and run for me.

Just go to Steam --> Settings --> Controller --> General Controller Settings and UNTICK "Xbox Controller Support"
