Some people prefer more per map and take longer (more objs = more time).
This right here. I'd use these events to sample farm. Bring Cardio and also UAV and/or Distractor Beacon (if you have either).
Something else I did on my new account was to keep dropping ranks over and over again (I kept my rank between 12 and 18 for around a week) to grind research points from leveling up.
Nice thing about this was that it allowed me to grind research points simply from getting XP (doing lots of RS, some boss fights and of course any other mission that I finished) without having to go out of my way to actually search for samples. Those samples then were a nice bonus whenever I'd join a mission where people wanted to hunt for them.
BTW, since we have so many points that have no way to go when we're lv30 or higher, the developers should give us a way to use them. Maybe in exchange of some decoration for our mother ship. It's so boring to see all the same bridge when I enter a game.
Cyborg planets are not advised due to them having tank scouts that pretty much instantly pop the alarm. If you have to grind research on cyborg worlds, bring friends and make sure you have AP guns and rockets. Even then, avoid the enemy as much as possible.
