Using the PS4 Controller's Touchpad for the map

The PS4 controller's default settings allow one to open the Map by pressing the Touchpad in. This is all good and well, makes complete sense, however, one still needs to control the map with the analog sticks. I was wondering if there was a way to use the PS4 controller's touchpad to scroll and control the map. (other than using third party software which makes the controller wonky)

If not, I was wondering further if there would be any chance for future implementation. Perhaps with pinching motions for zooming and such, or pressing either the left or right side for zooming.

Would it even be a good idea to have such a thing? Would you use it, personally? Would it be useful?

Hmm... Idk, I've gotten pretty used to how it is and actually like it, personally. I can pull up the map with my left thumb and instantly move around the map with my right thumb. For the times I need to use zoom, using the right stick is never an issue.
