Why won't they change it? That's so damn stupid. Being able to see your crosshair is pretty important. WTF are they thinking?
It's a console game ported to PC, there wasn't a crosshair to begin with, that's the entire point of the laser sight. If you're stuggling, use the thing they put in the game specifically for that reason.
You don't need a crosshair for console because your thumbstick is neutral when you don't touch it and you're aiming in the direction you move it when you do touch it. If you're using K&M then when you move your mouse to the right, you're not necessarily aiming right if your mouse was at the bottom or top of your screen. Laser doesn't do jack because you need to know where your x-hair is before you start aiming so you can pop shots quickly while moving and only ADS when you have the x-hair in the right direction otherwise you turn slowly. Laser =/= crosshairs. Once you see your crosshair, you don't need a laser and there's much more useful strategems. It's just a nonsensical way to add "challenge" but having iffy controls is not the way to go about it.
Firstly, thank you for proving the point. It's a port from console. Hence crosshairs not being there.
You turn at light speed with anything bar a heavy weapon, and you can set it so that the crosshair always appears in front of your character (directly in front of him/her) and while walking, you turn as fast as you can press the buttons. So it's not a problem, if you use the options provided.
Do you see a crosshair while sprinting in CoD? No? Same concept here. Same reasons.
You were not specific in the slightest, so I was assuming you just couldn't see your crosshair at all, which is completely remedied by the laser sight. not knowing where your crosshair is is remedied by one of hte options available in the menus, that makes it appear in front of your helldiver, so it's always going to be where you are facing when you aim (which, I assume, is the enemy)
No point was proven. Using a controller vs K+M is a different thing entirely. You don't need a crosshair for controller because you aren't pre-aim in a random direction relative to your character. If you need to shoot directly right on controller, you push the stick right. With a mouse, that doesn't work if you mouse is at the top of the screen because then you're aiming top right, not right. You only get a faint shadow of where your cursor is when not aiming which is easily lost amid the chaos, so how is your point proven again? There IS a crosshair at all times but it blends in the background. Even when aiming in blends into snow maps. What does this have to do with CoD??? When you sprint, you are aiming at the center of your screen but we're talking about a top down shooter so that doesn't apply here. Not the same concept, not the same reason. If you bring in a first person shooter to try and argue your point, then you truely have no idea what you're talking about.
You didn't read, or didn't understand.
It's a console port. The crosshair wasn't there to begin with because of that, and you need to look at the settings menu like I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ told you.
You need to turn anyway, if it's set (with the setting that I mentioned earlier that you ignored) to appear in front of your helldiver at all times, problem is solved. Before you continue, go try it, or your complaints are moot since you refuse to use the options given to you to deal with this.
I myself have suggested having a few different crosshair shape options (common enough in other games) and perhaps a limited cosmetics/colors customizing system -- within a few 'makes sense for Super Earth Army' color palettes. It could've been something where turning in X number of research samples 'purchased' color palette packs to customize your armor, caps etc. just a little bit.
Would at least give us veteran players who have hundreds of samples (I have I think 230 now) something to spend them on. :) I don't think any of this is happening because Arrowhead's busy on the Secret Project and likely can't spare the programming person power to do this type of thing.
