Illuminates Only ...?
Hello everyone

I'm back on the game and I see that only Illuminates-based missions can be launched. Is that some kind of bug or did it become "normal" ? I'd rather play against the cyborgs...

Was wondering the same.

The other two factions have been beaten before you came online. When illuminates are defeated, another war will start, so the factions will begin to be reintroduced over the course of next few days.

Well then. I'll wait a bit. Illuminates are my bane

Greetings old soldier,Hell Divers of the Great Super Earth are fighting the last attack agianst Llluminates, directly on their evil mother planet.Soon we humanbings shall enjoy the victory and a really long long long long long long time of peace through out the Glaxy. After that,we should also pay fully attention to the dangerous and enemies, like cybog.Yeah, they are coming from ourselves. And bugs, they just won`t rest.

Now that we beat Illumiantes and won the war, a new War begins.

And the starting faction is:

Illuminates :-(

Within 24 hours, the next faction will be introduced.

Excellent. Thank you for your answers. I'll keep my weapons and stratagems ready for the next phase of the operations

Can't see Illus any more!!!!!
Finished the war and it starts again with Illus! NOOOOOOOOO
Just remove them from the game! Or at least keep them off the weekend!!!

You want to remove a whole faction from the game just because you don't like them....nice logic. Anyway random is random and the game happened to pick the Illum again to start again.

It's a symptom of the galactic campaign; nobody (or, more correctly, a generally smaller portion of the community) wants to play against Illuminate, so we get stuck against them at the end of every war. Given how short the wars have been, this tends to happen a lot more frequently.

Some people shift over from the bug and cyborg fronts once they're knocked out, but others - like myself - just stop playing until the war restarts. So, everything in mind, the least popular faction in the game ends up being one of the longest-running.

Now, who thought it'd be a good idea to make the campaign restart against the final faction of the last campaign, I'll never know. It's happened for the last two or three campaigns and it's gotten really old.

It's bad random luck. I already suggested that the new war never starts with the last defeated faction.

The bug or cyborg front will be open here soon so just either tough it out or wait til tomorrow to play. The war system can be a pain at times, but it is what it is at this point.

Illuminates can be such a nightmare of offscreen insta-death and reverse controls infuriation. They could really use a rebalance in some way, when it's fairly obvious that a vast majority don't like to play against them, compared to the other factions.

Personally, it's the reverse controls that always get me. It's bad enough for movement. but reversing Strategem inputs also is just dirty.

Nah, bugs are all about crowd control, 'borgs are about anti-armor, and squids are spacing and movement. Illuminate are probably the easiest to kill once you have the patterns down.

The trick is to maintain your distance, don't get swarmed by walkers, and for the love of all that is free, just shoot the damn nano orbs as they spawn to prevent said control screw-ups. If you run perpendicular to the nano orbs, they miss and have to circle around again to hit you. When they're circling around their AOE explosion is outside your PC's hurtbox and you can shoot it down and focus on the others.

If they really piss you off that much, bring a high-power weapon/strat and waste them before they have a chance to screw your team over. Explosives and piercing weapons make quick work of even the heavies if you focus on them. CAS and strafing runs also work wonders on walker swarms and pop the shields on the big bads.

Just use the personal shield and that will help limit the snipers and the mind control.
