Best strategem for Big armored BUGS?
I've got most of the items, but just wondering what is recommended for dealing with the big bugs
that run you down and/or get you with the tentacles?
EATs are good, but you ongly get 2
The railgun manned turret is good, but you have to call it down, and sometimes that's just not feasible.
I thought the DumDum would be good, but it doesnt get thru the armor.

Thanks for any tips!

HIT IT TILL IT DIES!
But I personally use EATs. They don't require reload and one shot to the orange parts and those bugs are dead. Furthermore you can call them on the run and grab them quick when things go south. Really though it is your own personal style.

M-25 Rumbler is my preferred way of mass murder. Maxed out, it has great refire time and can be swept to take out crowds or focused on the big bugs to take them down with one or two barrages. Needs either good timing, stuns, or a good team to cover you while you reload, but other than that it's great for all bug threats.

The M-25 Rumbler is indeed one of the best heavy weapons to use against bugs. It can kill the behemoth giant bugs in 2 shots , the bug commander swarms can also be democratized with it. Also whatever does not get liberated outright gets slowed ! Just wachout how you shoot it ... killed myself with it quite a few times not to mention team kills :), fun weapon though.

When I am forced to deal with heavy bugs alone due to public games with poor coordination, I use two Railcannon strikes and EATs.

I use EATs whenever its cooldown expires so I can stock up, often it happens to be the moment when a heavy bug emerges, so I use them immediately, preventing leaving one of them behind.

Railcannon strikes are about as lethal as a direct shot from an RL. You need to take care with the tank bugs as they can charge, getting out of the targeting radius of the beacon, so if you are not sure that it is going to charge, wail until it charges and then throw the beacon. Otherwise, very effective granted you can wait a few seconds.

If I do happen to find an ally that is willing and able to assist with reloading, RL is hands down the most effective way to deal with heavy armor. If you also have resupply stratagems and resupply backpacks in the team, it is also very much sustainable.

Rumbler all the way. That, or railgun + poison combo! Stun with railgun, apply toxin with secondary weapon, watch them crumble.

Toxin launcher, you need no other weapon.

Gotta agree with Nequis, the toxic avenger does a good job, but you've gotta take care to not hit your mates.

I also like to use the demolisher and the vindicator dive bomb fully maxed.

Toxic Avenger, aka bug spray. Static field, heavy airstrike, close air support, dive bombs work well.

I wouldn't recommend any hand held explosives, besides rec demo kit, as bug tend to jump in front of you.

The motar takes care of them just fine and does well on destroying nests.

The TOX-13 Avenger is my favorite Bug AT weapon which operates much like a flamethrower but instead shoots acid onto your enemies. A few bonuses for this weapon include the ability to act as Anti-Tank for the bugs (can kill any Bug Tank with 4 seconds of continuous spray) and slows all movement down to a crawl while dealing massive damage. This weapon has some uses on cyborgs but cannot hurt Warlords or IFV/APC but can slow down dogs, chainsaw maniacs and other fast enemies. For illuminates this weapon is virtually useless as their shields prevent the acid from damaging them until they are taken down.

This weapon is part of the Hazard Ops DLC pack and its a must have at least for me in regards to fighting bugs. I normally run Cardio > Minigun Turret > Nuke > Tox13 > Ammo and I can solo any bug mission. Another bonus to this is when you do ret strikes you can equip the bubble sheild and drop static everywhere and use the Tox13 as a main gun to kill all the bugs easily. For ret Strikes solo i run Strategem Priority > Static > Tox13 > Shield > Ammo

A fully upgraded Rumbler is the AT weapon of choice for Bugs. Large splash and extreme damage will kill nearly anything in one burst, but if it doesn't die, the toxin will slow it down so you can get an easy second shot.

This weapon will also kill any Cyborg units, but it takes practice and isn't as fast as the Recoilless Rifle (for taking down IFV scouts on higher difficulties). Still, it is very effective in good hands, if you can be bothered to learn.

A pair of RL users so they can assisted reload each other or self reload in a pinch is my preferred method.
