Used Balthazar's ability to fire at all enemies in range and for whatever reason the ability wouldn't actually fire, despite the activation. Due to this none of the other squad members were able to use their abilities and indeed, I was unable to even end the turn to just take the hits that I was going to take from the enemies. I haven't played in a while, now the screen goes dark on startup and nothing happens. Win 8 and 7 compatibility modes didn't change anything. Anybody having similar issues?

This was such a good game, it's a idiotic waste to not follow up on it. It was simple, had all the right features, just needed some polish and expand on the Enhanced Content. I had hoped to see more Dark Angels since they aren't in a lot of games.
